City of Lynnwood Project
Lynnwood Parks, Recreation & Cultural Arts Department had a few objectives in mind to do their analysis. They wanted to explore alternative level of service for their parks, gain perspective into the park and trail usage, analyze 10-minute-walk visits to assess demand and capacity, get insight into demography of park visitors – to name a few. A few of their dashboards are available on this page.
Lynnwood study is an example of utilizing Big Data with a mix of data sources including anonymized mobile data, counter data, and census data to develop a report of park and trail visits and usage in Lynnwood.
